Editorial policy

Financial content is only worth reading if you can tell where it came from. This page sets out how ours is produced.

Independence

Commercial relationships never determine what we publish, how we rank a provider or what a guide recommends. No provider has any right of review over our content, and we do not accept payment for a favourable assessment.

Where a link earns us a commission we label it, and where a page contains affiliate links we say so on the page itself.

Accuracy

Every calculator formula is published on our methodology page and tested against closed-form equivalents. Figures used in guides are derived from those same calculators, so what you read and what the tool returns cannot drift apart.

We avoid quoting provider fees, rates or limits in body copy where they change frequently. When we do publish a provider detail, it is dated and checked at the point of publication.

What we will not publish

Invented testimonials, reviews written in the voice of made-up customers, fabricated rankings, or comparison tables for providers we have not verified.

We also will not publish specific personal recommendations. We are not licensed to advise, and general information is what we can honestly offer.

Reviews and corrections

Pages are reviewed when the underlying calculator changes and at least annually. If you find an error, email us and we will correct it and note the change.

Corrections are made to the page itself rather than quietly deleted, because a publisher that hides its mistakes cannot be checked.
